Spaces

Spaces are the rooms and stages inside your venue (a main room, a ballroom, a patio stage), each with its own capacity, stage size, tech and ticket manifests. Holds, bookings and counts are all kept per space. In the left menu, under Venue, choose Spaces. It belongs to VenueOps. Create your venue on Venue profile first; until then, Spaces says "Create the venue first".

How do I add a space?

  1. In the left menu, under Venue, choose Spaces.
  2. Choose Add space.
  3. Type the Name (required, for example "Main room").
  4. Fill in Capacity (standing), Capacity (seated), Stage width (ft), Stage depth (ft), Stage height (ft) and Notes as you know them.
  5. Choose Add space.

You can also add a space from any room tab on Venue profile, next to the Space picker.

Where do I enter a space's full tech?

The space form only holds the basics. The full tech for each room (rigging, power, loading, backstage, wifi, catering) lives on the Venue profile tabs. On a space's card in Spaces, choose Stage & rigging, Power & AV or Loading to jump straight to that tab with the space already picked.

How do I edit or delete a space?

  1. On the space's card in Spaces, choose Edit.
  2. Change the fields and choose Save.

To delete it, open Edit, choose Delete and confirm. A venue always needs at least one space, so the last one cannot be deleted.

What does a space card show?

Each card shows the space's name, its standing and seated capacity (or "Capacity not set"), its stage size (or "Stage size not set") and its catering mode, plus buttons for Stage & rigging, Power & AV, Loading and Manifests (with how many it has).

What is a manifest, and how do I add one?

A manifest is one way you scale the room (GA, seated, in the round): its price tiers, the capacity of each, and the seats it kills. A booking in the room counts its sellable number from the default manifest, or the one picked on its Counts tab.

  1. On the space's card, choose Manifests.
  2. Choose Add manifest.
  3. Type the Name and tick The room's default if it is the usual layout.
  4. Under Price tiers, fill in each Tier, Capacity and Price; choose Add a tier for more.
  5. Under Kills, choose Add a kill for seats you will not sell (camera position, mix position), with the Tier, Seats and Why.
  6. Choose Save manifest.

The list shows each manifest's Capacity, Kills, Sellable and Potential gross.

How do I change or delete a manifest?

In Manifests, choose Edit on the manifest, change it and choose Save manifest. To remove it, open it, choose Delete and confirm. Bookings that used it go back to the room's default.

I have several venues. Which venue's spaces am I seeing?

The venue name shows at the top of Spaces. With more than one venue, use the dropdown next to it to switch. The choice carries over to Venue profile, Calendar & holds and Avails.

Why can't I add or edit spaces?

Adding and editing spaces needs an owner, admin, manager, ops or coordinator seat. Editing manifests needs one of the same seats. View only seats can read the spaces but not change them.
