Competition
Leaderboards
Leaderboards shows live standings for each comp, worked out from the judged runs and updated as scores land. It has a full-screen board mode for the ops-room TV, exports and printed results, the public results page and the comp's prize money. In the left menu, under Competition, choose Leaderboards. It is part of ActionOps only.
How do I see the standings for a comp?
- In the left menu, under Competition, choose Leaderboards.
- Pick the comp from the list at the top.
The board lists each athlete's rank, bib, name, nation, club, each run and their score. The tiles above show the comp's Status, how many athletes are Ranked, the Leader and the Format. Standings update by themselves as the desk and the judges score. You need an event selected.
How is the leaderboard ranked?
The ranking follows the comp's format, set in the comp's details:
- Best run, Best trick or Jam: the best scored run.
- Best two runs: the total of the two best.
- Average of runs: the average.
- Timed: the best time, lower wins.
- Head to head: wins in the bracket.
- Points: points entered by the desk.
The run that counts is in bold. Ties follow the comp's Tie-break setting. Withdrawn, DNS, DNF and disqualified athletes show their status instead of a rank.
How do I show the leaderboard on a TV in the ops room?
- In Leaderboards, pick the comp.
- Choose Board mode.
The board fills the screen in large type. When more than one comp is running, it cycles through them every 20 seconds. Choose Exit or press Escape to leave board mode.
How do I export the results?
In Leaderboards, pick the comp, then:
- CSV downloads the board: rank, bib, athlete, nation, club, each run, score and status.
- Federation export downloads the file for a federation's results desk in the format picked beside it: FIS-style CSV, World Skate CSV, WSL-style heat sheet CSV or Generic JSON. Each carries the rank, bib, the athlete's Federation ID, names, nation, year of birth, runs and score in that federation's columns.
Which columns does each federation export carry?
Set each athlete's Federation ID (their FIS code, World Skate id or WSL id) on the athlete first: every format reads it. A run that did not count shows DNS, DNF or VOID in its column, and the status column reads OK, DNS, DNF or DSQ (a withdrawn athlete reads DNS).
- FIS-style CSV: Rank, Bib, FederationID, LastName, FirstName, Nation, YearOfBirth, Gender (the athlete's category), Club, Run1 to RunN, Score, Status.
- World Skate CSV: Rank, Bib, WS_ID (the Federation ID), SURNAME in capitals, Given_Name, NOC (the 3-letter nation), Gender (M or W from the category), YOB, Run_1 to Run_N, Best (the best run), Total (the comp's score), Result_Status.
- WSL-style heat sheet CSV: Heat, Place_In_Heat (the order within the heat by the comp's ranking), Overall_Rank, Jersey (the bib), WSL_ID, Surfer (full name), Country, Wave_1 to Wave_N (one per run), Heat_Total (the comp's score, so best two waves on a best two runs comp), Status.
- Generic JSON: one document with the comp (name, discipline, category, round, format, date, status and the scoring rule) and every result with rank, status, bib, federation id, names, nation, year of birth, category, club, heat, score, best and each run (number, status, score, time, penalty, won).
How do I print the results?
In Leaderboards, pick the comp, then:
- Results sheet prints the official results for this comp.
- Day results prints every comp on the same day in one sheet, marked official where complete and provisional where not.
Both open in a new window. If nothing opens, allow pop-ups for GigOps.
How do I share a public results page?
- In Leaderboards, choose Results link.
- Copy the link and send it to broadcast partners or the media room.
The page and its feed need no login. Only comps with Board on the public results page ticked in their details show their standings; the rest show schedule and status. Choose Regenerate to replace the link or Disable link to switch it off.
How do I keep a comp's standings from athletes until it is complete?
Open the comp's details on the Comp schedule and tick Hide board from athletes until complete, then save. In Leaderboards, the comp then says "Hidden from the athlete app until complete". You still see the live board.
How do I set and pay prize money for a comp?
- Open the comp's details on the Comp schedule and fill in Prize money by place (comma separated), for example 10000, 5000, 2500. Save.
- When the comp is completed in Judging, an award is written for each place.
- In Leaderboards, the Prize money section under the board lists each award. Choose Approve, then Mark paid, or To payroll to add it to Payroll as a draft entry.
Before the comp completes, the section shows the breakdown the awards will follow.
Who can see and pay prize money?
The Prize money section under the board shows to Company Admins and Company Users with the Manager role. Prize awards also appear in Settlement, under Costs, for the money seats. Team Managers see their own athletes' awards on their Prize money tab, read-only.
What do athletes and teams see of the leaderboard?
Athletes see standings and their own results on the Results tab of GigOps Athlete, unless the comp hides its board until complete. When a comp is completed, every athlete on the list is told their place.
Who can use Leaderboards?
Company Admins and Company Users with the Manager, Ops or Coordinator role can read the leaderboards. Finance, Legal and View only seats do not see Leaderboards by default.
