Basics
My day
My day is the home screen: the open tour at a glance, the approvals waiting on you, your own travel and the local weather. It opens when you sign in; to come back to it, choose My day at the top of the left menu. What it shows follows the tour (or festival, event or market) open in the top bar.
What is on My day?
From top to bottom:
- Routing & drive-times (TourOps) and Subscribe to calendar buttons.
- Local weather for where you are, or a ZIP or city you choose.
- Four tiles for the open tour: Tour budget, Contracted (with how far over or under budget), Shows and Budget lines. The money tiles disappear if the Budget module is switched off for the company or for you.
- Awaiting your approval: contract and budget approvals assigned to you.
- Your travel: your own flights, hotels and per diem.
When there is nothing yet you see "Your day is clear" and a Go to Planning button.
How do I approve or deny something from My day?
Items assigned to you appear under Awaiting your approval, marked CONTRACT or BUDGET, with who asked.
- Choose Approve or Deny on the row.
- Or choose Open to see the full contract or budget line first.
The same list appears at the top of Planning. New approvals show up on their own within about half a minute, and when you come back to the tab.
How do I set the location for the local weather?
- On the Local weather card, choose Use my location and allow location access, or type a ZIP or city and choose Go.
- To pick a different place later, choose Change.
The location is remembered on this device. For a venue's forecast, open the show (it shows a Venue forecast within 5 days of the show) or use the Weather module.
Where do I see my own flights and hotels?
The Your travel card lists the travel booked for you on each show: flights or legs with times, hotels with check-in and check-out, and per diem. Choose a card to open that show. The card only appears when something is booked for you. Travel is entered in the Travel module.
How do I subscribe to the tour calendar in Google, Apple or Outlook?
- On My day, choose Subscribe to calendar.
- Choose Add to calendar to open it in your calendar app, or choose Copy and paste the link into Google Calendar, Apple Calendar or Outlook as a calendar subscription.
Every show on the open tour appears, and the calendar keeps itself up to date as dates change. Anyone with the link can read it, so share it only with people who should see the dates.
How do I see the drive times between shows?
- Open the tour in the top bar.
- On My day, choose Routing & drive-times (TourOps).
The window lists the shows in date order with the miles and driving time between each pair, and the total driving for the tour. Choose Recompute after you change venues or dates. Where there are open nights between two shows, the leg says how many venues on GigOps have an open date in that gap, such as 3 venues within 300 miles (or in the next town, when neither show is at a venue on GigOps). Choose it to open Find open dates for those nights, with each venue's drive time from the show before the gap. If you see "Drive-times turn on once a Google Maps server key is set", maps are not set up for your workspace yet; the show order still appears. Ask GigOps Support.
Why are the budget tiles blank or showing a dash?
The tiles show the open tour only. A dash means nothing has been added yet ("No lines yet", "None added yet"). If you switch to another tour in the top bar, the tiles change with it. Ops and Coordinator seats see the budget totals here even though they cannot open budget lines.
