Competition

Broadcast

Broadcast tracks who is carrying the event, when, how it is delivered and where: your broadcast partners, the windows they carry on the comp schedule, and any comp running outside its window. It is also where media accreditation applications land. In the left menu, under Competition, choose Broadcast. It is part of ActionOps only.

How do I add a broadcast partner?

  1. In the left menu, under Competition, choose Broadcast.
  2. Choose Add partner.
  3. Fill in Partner name (required), Type (Network, Streamer, Over the air, Radio or Syndicator) and Home territory.
  4. Add the Contact, Email, Phone and Truck / compound position.
  5. Choose Add partner.

Partners are listed on the Partners tab with how many windows each one has.

How do I add a broadcast window?

  1. In Broadcast, choose Add window. You need at least one partner and one competition day first.
  2. Pick the Partner and the Day.
  3. Set Start and End (both required) and an optional Label, for example "Day 1 prime time".
  4. Tick the Delivery (Cable, Streaming, OTA, Satellite, Radio).
  5. Pick the Market (Domestic, International or Worldwide) and, for international, the Countries (2-letter, comma separated).
  6. Set the Status and tick Live, or untick it for delayed or tape.
  7. Tick the Competitions carried and add Feed notes.
  8. Choose Add window.

How do I choose which competitions a window carries?

In Broadcast, open the window and tick the comps under Competitions carried, then choose Save. Only comps on the window's own day are offered. If the day has none, add comps on the Comp schedule first and then edit the window.

What do the window statuses mean, and what is "On air now"?

A window is Planned, Confirmed, On air, Aired or Cancelled. Broadcast shows an On air now banner, and counts it in the On air tile, for any window marked On air or whose times hold the current minute on its day where the event is. A window that runs past midnight stays on air until its end the next morning. The banner refreshes every minute.

How do I see the broadcast day on one timeline?

In Broadcast, open the Timeline tab. Each day shows a lane per partner with its windows as bars, and a Comps lane underneath, by the hour. A comp outside its window shows as a gap, and comps in conflict are marked in amber. Choose a window bar to edit it, or a comp to open it.

What does the Conflicts tab in Broadcast show?

The Conflicts tab lists anything that does not line up:

Choose Open the competition to go to the comp that causes it. When nothing is wrong it says "Every window lines up". Windows in conflict also have an amber border on the Windows tab.

How do I email a partner when a comp they carry moves?

  1. In Broadcast, open the Partners tab and choose the partner.
  2. Tick Email this contact when a competition they carry moves.
  3. Choose Save.

It is off by default, because it sends your schedule detail outside the company. The partner's card then says "Notified on changes".

How do I take media accreditation applications?

  1. In Broadcast, open the Media tab.
  2. Choose Accreditation form link and copy the link to the public form.
  3. Share it with press, photographers and broadcast crews.

Each application lands on the Media tab with the applicant's name, outlet, role, contact, days and photo. Choose Regenerate or Disable link in the link window to close applications. The Media tab appears when Credentials is switched on for your company.

How do I approve or decline a media application?

On the Media tab in Broadcast, pick the credential type for the pass on a pending application, then choose Approve. A credential pass is issued with the applicant's photo and outlet. Choose Decline to turn it down, with an optional note for the applicant. The applicant hears either way when email is set up.

How do I edit or delete a partner or window?

In Broadcast, choose the partner on the Partners tab, or the window on the Windows tab, change it and choose Save. Choose Delete to remove it. Deleting a partner removes its windows too; the competitions are untouched.

Who can use Broadcast?

Company Admins and Company Users with the Manager, Ops or Coordinator role can add and edit partners and windows. Finance, Legal and View only seats do not see Broadcast by default.
